Poisonous Inhale

This is very important topic as many of us will not aware of this. Cockatiel respiratory system is very sensitive and delicate. Since it is so delicate, even some odors that is normal for human will make your cockatiel sick and may even died.

Some smoke or gas that you should take into your consideration is pesticide strips, bug bombs, hair sprays, hair permanents, glues, paints, self-cleaning ovens, ammonia, naphthalene, nail polish, spray starch, and even tobacco smoke. You may no realize that it may harm you pet Cockatiel but should be aware that if your pet cockatiel inhale it directly, it may have death consequence.

You should also be aware that some odors from cooking activities will kills your pet Cockatiel. Therefore, it is advise not to put your pet cockatiel cage in the kitchen. The cookware that I mean is of course cookware with use Teflon or Silver stone (the material that make the food didnít stick to the pans). The fumes occurred from heating this type of pan will definitely can kill your pet cockatiel.

Furthermore, if your pet cockatiel is expose to excessive from any offensive odors (like tars/ bitumen) the cockatiel may develop many respiratory problem later on.
