After being quite certain this species is not protected, here is my Orange-sided thrush :D
Heard that it is quite difficult to keep this bird until he become "api" or comes in form. It wouldn't then be challenging eh?

It likes to bath too:

Loves insects and some small amount of fruits:

Hi 747kuku &land,
Bought from a friend in KL for RM350 out of curiosity. Not singing yet.
I tried searching the internet for the song but none has been posted yet. But I did find 2 recordings of the wild bird though. Not too bad. Hope mine starts singing soon and I can share his song/performance here

Specimen 1 (of course the pic is mine, but sound downloaded  ):

Specimen 2:

Just hope with proper feeding and care, he will start singing soon (provided its a male too hahaha!) But from what I read in the Indonesian forum (kicaumania) so far, its one of those more difficult bird to "jadi".
Just sharing :D
