Buying San Wu

Postby tancho » Tue Apr 22, 2008 12:12 pm

Hi,

I'm a newbie here

I was offered a San Wu at RM450, adult and reasonable singer. Is the price OK?

Thanks :)

Hard to say.
Seen one quite pathetic looking in a bird shop. But owner open mouth also RM500. Mine I bought rm150 or rm200 can't remember. But has since given away f.o.c. very good singer.
So it all bears down to how much you like the bird. There are some specimens in bird shops around K.L. if you want to look around.
Time you enjoyed wasting......
......wasn't wasted.

I heard from someone the price range for this kind of bird is around RM600.

I like its sounds too. Unfortunately the price is way too pricy for me to own one now.

Thanks for your response.

I've gone to two other shops, including Macau Pets, and the price is around RM250, but the birds are not confirm singers. The one offered at RM450 (before bargaining) can sing pretty well.

Hmmmm.....maybe if I can bargain down to RM300 plus, then may get it.

Cheers

I'm interested in this bird too. Want to learn more....

Is it only male will sing, or both sexes also can sing? What does it eat? How big is the bird size, I was told is as big as a pigeon. Pardon me I haven't seen this bird in real life.
