Female anis merah (Orange headed thrush)

Postby tgon65 » Sat Feb 28, 2015 11:28 am

hey guys,

I notice that this forum has been inactive for a while but I am hoping someone can give me some advice?

I live in Indonesia and visited a bird shop today which had young AM which are very tame.

I really like the idea of raising it to be very tame but it is hard to judge the sex while it is so small.

Are the females good pets?

Do they sing?

Does anyone have any advice for judging the sex of a young AM?

Thanks

Hi Bro,

I have no experiance with them so can't comment much about how to identify the sex. However, based on the discussion from some other member, I did believed that they do sing and have an exquisite way of display.

Here below is the video of how they 'sing'
