Feeding Jambul

Postby stanleyseah » Sun Jan 31, 2010 2:11 am

Hi guys, am now venturing into Jambuls..

Would like a little assistance here.

Mainly, what insects can i feed the jambul? Crickets seem to be too big for them or will they readily tackle them?

Also, can i use a shama's bathing cage to bathe my jambul?

More questions to come after i pick up the bird!

Thanks in advance guys.

Hiyee!

I just put those transparent plastic containers (those that you get from hawker centres when you tapao food) into their cages for them to bathe in. I don't use any special bathing cage whatsoever.

Dear mr Stanleyseah,i dnt know who you are except you said you are based in jb but now i do have my doubts, you culd be based in kl(based on the fact that you just acquire a hwa mei and you seemed to know ahsoon) or you could be singaporean but that aside initially you seemed ok,but after jumping from topic to topic ie from shama to hwamei and now bulbul i'm having doubts bout your real motives;may i ask ?are you real or you are here just for the fun of asking question and pretending to be a novice when in actual fact i doubt you are.Just on the shama food you had spoken to 40 players,so if you know shama i'm sure you know hwamei and jambul because caring for these 3 species do not vary alot,so the question here is what exactly do you wish to know?On one hand you seemed to know quite a fair bit about birds, and you even know the various types of bird feed in the market in order of quality. While all of us are here to share and learn you must realised that the question you post,i would say some of them if not all are fairly basic and you dnt need a an xpert/sifu to give you the answers...common sense my friend eg; can a jambul be put into a shama bathing cage?off course they can otherwise you ends up with so many types of bathing cages unless your shama bathing cage is exceptionally long then you may wish to get a magpie bathing cage, they share the same types of bathing cages. Can my shama take bath at night?generally you dont unless you wish to blow your shama with hair dryer. Its the same with every new topic you go,you ask so many question and after receiving some reply another list will appear, i dnt know where you will be next!magpie robin?..hey man i for one dnt pull punches so please if you care to read the old posts, you can get all your answers there, off course some you will never get because they are outright basic that members do not ask.No offence meant mr. stanleyseah because non given.Good luck and may all your questions be answered.
Regards,
jessejames.
