Falconry Swivels

Swivels is one of the very important tools in keeping bird of prey. This is because the swivels will help to prevent bird from escape.

A good swivels will help to maintain the jesse leather not to be easily torn and the leash can be attached to it. (jesse may tear off after some time if leash is tie directly to it).

Here is the photo of one of my swivels. There are many type of swivels but the most famous one is english swivels.

I just talk to khun Peera, and he mention that the swivel used for fishing also is strong enough for this purpose...

hopefully he got some free time and post the swivel that he used for his hawkeagle and crown eagle for us... :D

Here is a pic of my swivel. I use sampo swivel. The conventional swivels are impractical to use cause it's hard to put on and take off. You will also have to have 2 sets of jesses one for flying and one for the swivel. The system that I use is much simpler you dont need 2sets of jesses. Putting and removing takes seconds. However dont use any clip type cause it can fail and you end up loosing your bird.
