I have to agree with Tanin, in the past I have had the oppurtunity to fly and hunt a bit with this magnificient hunter and a few other BOP kept by my distant relative in Thailand. But non compares to to the crested goshawk. Although I had experinece with only one but it was an exciting experience. She would never give up, the chase and struggle will go on untill she catches the prey and she almost never miss. The reason she got lost in the end was due to this natural determination of hers as well. I will try to tell the story in the future if possible.

Here is her picture below which I manage to take during those times.

Sliver2c,

Oh really? hehehe :D

Here's a picture of her sunbanting. Caring for a CG is like caring for a child, you have to bath her, sun her, take her around with you everywhere in car rides, watching TV, chill out with close friends etc. This is for manning puposes, with lack of manning they will start to get stressed easily and cant perform well during hunting. CG may even forget you if you dont see her for more than 5 days.. Constant manning is the key.

Wow, have been too busy till I didn't visit this forum. My fault...
Anyway, CG is one great Accipiter for falconry. But, as most falconers know, their training is not easy. Very temperamental birds, just like the other species of the same genus. Once trained, they are good hunting partner.
