summersault ....

Magpie robin is a nice bird with nice song. They spread across this region steadily.

Yours just jump from perch, doing summersault and land on base of cage.
Mine jump from perch, do summersault and land back on his perch. I can say perfect 360 degrees.

Currently, I don't see any summersault after placing the nylon strings.
As for Pekin Robin, so far no effect (maybe they're just too active) .

Hi Nazmina,

To make it more effective, try tie two more nylon strings horizontally below the perch.

yeah, but instead of using the wires ,my neighbour,Mr.Ah Seng, uses strings and two pieces of thin wooden sticks or in BM ,'lidi'...this method can help to avoid the magpie robin's legs from becoming worn out and at the same time, keep the claws sharp and smooth...i know this bcoz i have 12 magpie robins and 2 of em love to summersault!!!
2 shamas...
1 in KL,the other is still with me..
THis hobby has to be paused for now coz going away for further studies..

hi nazmi
the tips to make magpie stop summersault :
1. Spray bath ( spray it with cold water from above of the bird)
2. hang it outdoor in the middle of the night, 2-3 hours
3. do not over live feeding, some diet is good...
