I believed that the best species to do the task is Falcon instead of Eagle or hawk.

Hawk normally prefer forested area and not open field like airport, while eagle is too big (I believed) to hunt for small bird, except if that area have large bird problem which falcon not able to handle...

In some place I believed that there are some falconer provide this service...

Thanx Mr Tanin. I didn't do any research on this matter. Anyway if u know or get any contact pls inform me. If I'm not mistaken US Air Force had form 1 small unit to overcome bird activities in vicinity of aerodrome. But I don't know the exact place. It must very impressive if we can see the falcon can obtain an air superiority in some particular place.

Hi guys,

I've never heard of anyone keeping falcon here in Malaysia. But the sight of Bird of Prey be it eagle or hawk or falcon would definately clear the airport sight from any other birds.

But perhaps if there are crows around you might need an eagle to do the work. I've had experience in thailand with my friend's hawk whereby it was chased away by a flock of crows. Initially he wanted to hunt a crow, but when the crow saw the hawk (crested goshawk) it called for backup and within minutes they are ready for a 'Gang Bang'!!!!

Before this I had stay in Butterworth for some years. I always see hawk have some 'Dog Fight' wif crow. The fight was too long and I never know who's winner.

Sometimes it is hard to conclude who will win... I believed it depend on the determination of the 'fighter'...
