I observe that many people like to keep this small bird for their beautiful song. Zosterops (Zosterops Palpebrosa) is normally called 'Mata Puteh" (white eye) in this region.

I have bought a puteh for coming 2 weeks.
From the posture and characters, my friends and I deem it to be a male puteh. But the problem is this puteh does not "middle tone" at all. It does give continuous "ki ki ki" sound as though to signal other puteh of its territory... if I could guess it correctly what the "kikiki" sound it means.
Does female puteh gives off such "kikiki" sound?
My puteh has yet "middle tone" and this implies this is a female puteh?
Please advise me.
