birdstud wrote:pls be aware that most young IRN's will (before 1 year of age) get into a biting stage soon  common with IRN's. They will test you to the limits and transform into a little monster (kindda like a rebellious teenager). You have to hang in there and be firm and patient to show it who is boss. Pls don't punish it physically and just let the period pass. It will last for about 4 - 6 weeks. It is part of growing up. If it succeeds in bullying you then you will have a spoilt brat that will be difficult to control. Wish you the best.

Sound advice. Thks for the knowledge.
Believe so, that parrot species need a lot of attention. We need to allow time for them to get to know us and for them to know us as well.
Like the old saying, "There are times for everything", to discipline, to let them out to play, to laugh and to pamper and care....... etc. :)

I see now.. Its just a heavy molting.. Due to lack of Vit A and Beta carotene in the diet and also due to heat.. Actually its kinda normal for IRN and it is just a simple task to do.. Please feed him with carrots, sweet potatoes and also dont forget to add some mist spray to the feathers once in every alternate day... :)
