Importing pet cockatiel

Postby buckteethangel » Wed Sep 04, 2013 3:48 pm

Hi guys, I'm a currently studying in Ireland and will be back next February. Am wondering what are the procedures involved with importing a cockatiel? I'm new to cockatiels as well, got her for about 3 months now from a local lady who rescued her, I believe I'll need permit and documents regarding importing, can anyone please advise?

Also, are there going to be quarantines for her and how long would it be and do I have to pay? I have just one hen cockatiel now so is it advisable to get her a company now prior to the duration of quarantine? I also read up that cockatiels are now protected in Malaysia so we need a licence, where and how can I get one?

Thank you!! :D:D
