Hehehehe! Just bought 2 of these birds.
Expect them to be Hwa-Mei size but looks more like crows hahahaha!
Anyway, anybody can tell me how to see female or male

I think both are males.
So far I would say they are sound birds rather than song birds
Can call like a cat with rolling "meowrrrrrrrrrrr"
Give a little bark when trying to bath one of them
This morning a lot of monkey and weird noises hahahaha!
So far fun birds to have around. Can't wait till the actual singing starts.
Was told they are quite loud. Lets just wait and see :D

Nice birds dance for rain you can`t see it`s a female or male but only hear hehehe.. if you had a couple you can see the different, this is the other variant i think you mean Yogigan and you are right this is one of the favourite birds in Indonesian, these birds with black cheeks also have a very melodious song (call).
